Over at Shirley J we believe that there is nothing as powerful as an electronic conversation. That’s why we encourage our Home Chefs to start a blog and commit today to making it part of their lifestyle and Shirley J business. We are even offering incentives, if that doesn’t tell how much we value social media.

Each month Shirley J sponsors a blog recipe contest for our Home Chefs across the nation. We like to reward our Home Chefs with cash prizes for experimenting in the kitchen with our beloved Shirley J products. Join in the fun. Every month we serve up a new challenge with a different Shirley J product or theme.

Official Rules:

1. Develop or adapt a recipe using specified Shirley J product or theme
2. Create a post on your blog about your recipe with the following:
(a) complete recipe with specific instructions
(b) original picture of the complete dish
(c) link to the Official Shirley J Blog
(d) link to the Shirley J Web site

(e) blog post must be new and posted after date of each new challenge (**NEW RULE as of July 2009 contest)

3. Blog post must be up by designated date
4. Email me at beckyo@shirleyj.com with a link to your post
5. Have fun, experiment and make it tasty

Each Home Chef entering a recipe will receive $5 and finalists will receive $10. The Home Chef who submitted the winning recipe will receive $25 and have their recipe featured on the official Shirley J blog.

*There is not a limit on how many recipes a Shirley J Home Chef can submit. However, each submission recipe must have it’s own post and meet all of the above requirements.
